Changes To 0870 Numbers

Ofcom has confirmed measures to improve price transparency and to strengthen consumer protection for calls to 0870 numbers.

Ofcom has proposed that calls to 0870 numbers will cost the same as calls to geographic numbers i.e. UK landline numbers starting 01 or 02.

This change will significantly reduce the price of many calls to 0870 numbers.

Cheaper 0870 calls will effectively end revenue sharing on these numbers.
